    Broad spectrum contains CBD plus other cannabinoids and terpenes, with THC removed through chromatography. In principle it offers whole-plant composition without THC.

    The Argument for Whole Plant

    Assessed honestly, the argument has one strong part and one weak part.

    Strong: the interaction between CBD and THC is genuine and mechanistically described. CBD acts as a negative allosteric modulator at CB1, changing how THC binds, which is why balanced products feel different from THC-only products at the same THC dose.     For most people the practical question is not effects, it is THC.

    Full spectrum can cause a positive drug test. Standard urine screening detects THC-COOH, a THC metabolite stored in fat. Daily full-spectrum use at a reasonable dose can accumulate enough to cross a screening cutoff, commonly 50 ng/mL in federally regulated testing.
